Contemporary poetry

Grown and on their own

Daughters of mine are all Grown up.
Don't get married to be fashionable.
Young women, everything will be fine.
One day it will be yours what was mine.
Hearts broken, break a few hearts.
Loss is the sum of all known parts.
Hard to believe time never stops.
Independent they are on there own.
Living life to taste the tear drops.
The budding roses are lying in a bed of thorns.
Are they really, maybe just home grown?
You must guard your hearts.
You know you have gone over when you Cross the line.
Lives are mirrored.
We are here and now.
Stay as long as you want.
