AUTUMN IS REFLECTED
Autumn leaves in color,
Bright yellows, reds of hue,
To fall away and float upon,
The river to the pool.
The river current draws them down,
In the depths they rest,
Their covers lay upon this pebbled,
Watered earth.
Still brilliant in their color,
Deep within the pool,
Their shades of brilliance magnified,
By the waters clarity, Deep and cold and clear.
Refracted to the surface,
Still their colors bright,
Imposed on my reflection,
And mirrored in my eyes.
Bright yellows, reds of hue,
To fall away and float upon,
The river to the pool.
The river current draws them down,
In the depths they rest,
Their covers lay upon this pebbled,
Watered earth.
Still brilliant in their color,
Deep within the pool,
Their shades of brilliance magnified,
By the waters clarity, Deep and cold and clear.
Refracted to the surface,
Still their colors bright,
Imposed on my reflection,
And mirrored in my eyes.
