The Truth
Jesus says I am the truth; there is no other truth than Me
Many will try a different truth but they’ll soon come to see
Not just the truth of the judgment seat, all roads lead there
But will you enter into His rest or just stand and stare
You may have the truth of science, which is true to some degree
You may have the truth of mathematics, or theory of relativity
You may have the theological truth; truth based on historical fact
You may even have an experienced truth, a testimony of an act
There are many truths that are visible to the eye
There are many visible truths that are in fact a lie
Some say evolution is the truth we should believe
The world is a result of what a cosmic explosion can achieve
Others believe the truth of creation by an all might God
The truth is that truth itself puts all beliefs at odds
Jesus says I am the truth; there is no other than Me
Many will try a different truth but they’ll soon come to see
The truth is a Spirit the natural man can’t see or understand
The Spirit of a living God who holds all things in His hand
Every earthly truth will one day come to an end
And all who reject His truth will die in their sin
The truth is that all have sin, none are righteous, not even one
The truth is that redemption is only possible thru Gods only Son
The truth is that God so loved the world that even before its fall
A plan was made and a sacrifice was given to redeem us all
A virgin birth, and gruesome death, and a glorious resurrection
The thunder roared, the vail was torn to make a new connection
The only truth that matters is the truth you cannot see
But if you are to live eternal; His this truth you must believe
Some will deny this truth and pursuit the truths of man
Some will confession another truth and bow to its command
There are those who will declare allegiance to nature or stars
Others will be convinced truth is in houses and cars
Still others in financial gain or world social status
Some will construct their own truth apparatus
