Freedom

It comes in many forms sometimes it's
as simple as flinging your schoolbag away.
That release from the confines of school room
lets everything ahead you seem so benign.

Walking purposefully out the gate swearing
never to call another man sir-ever again.
Starting work in the building game many a
Time tools flung into the car boot always got another start
same trade different site not knowing or caring about consequences
just doing it because you're free

All down the years remained free in my soul never
did call another man sir, now at the end of days
have no regrets no man to say sir or doff the cap to.
Freedom is a way of life, thankfully I was able to live that way.
