You should be quick to hear,
Respond slowly to speak;
For anger you should fear,
In solutions you seek.
God has never approved,
Of angry behavior;
And it should be removed,
For God to find favor.
Forget immoral ways,
And all the wicked things;
Suffering lasts for days,
From the pleasure it brings.
Humbly accept the Word,
That God has placed in you;
Teaching what you have heard,
For those you bump into.
Do what the His Word states,
Do not merely listen;
His Word opens the gates,
When you go to Heaven.
You yourself are the fool,
If you do not adhere;
For His Word is the tool,
To put your life in gear.
Like the person that sees,
In the mirror the one;
And only face to please,
Having a conscience none.
If you study Scripture,
Follow what it has taught;
You will have a future,
With the Lord as you sought.
Look at your reflection,
As you turn to each page;
Showing the direction,
In your life at each stage.
