Winter Greeting (Winter-Snow-Falling) By Cynthia Jones, www.PoetryPoem.com/poetryandshortstories10 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
The Fairies greet the cold
snow is all around,
one gets out a shovel
another trips and falls down.
Winter is a special time
for these little Fairies,
they get to play in the snow
slide, laugh and be merry.
Icicles hang from the doorway
there is a chill in the air,
birds are looking for food
the Fairies are cold and don't care.
Storm clouds begin to form
above their tiny heads,
the wind starts to blow around them
they'd rather feel warmth instead.
Flakes start falling softly
the Fairies don't want to go in,
they can't wait for the snow to stop
so the playfulness, can again begin.
