Words For The Soul

45,448 poems read

How fragile life is
So hard to face getting older

Your memory is fading
While your body declines
So very hard to  be
 Dependent on others
 For the things you once

 Were able to do yourself
You feel your dignity waning

As you near the end of
Your earthly existence

Count your many blessings
  In love, peace, and happiness
For your beautiful family and friends

This poem is dedicated to a woman for whom I was a Live-In Caregiver. She will always remain in my heart.
