I did not find this out, until I heard it on the radio. Today is National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day. I thought, "Ok. This is different. I have never heard of this before."
I listen to radio every morning, to see what is going to happening weather wise.
Every morning, at certain times, you can call into the radio station during a contest, not only to win money, but to have your name put into a draw to win tickets for a $500 prize.
Now, with this contest, you have to name as many things, within thirty seconds, on a topic they give you. You also win $98. As the name of the radio station is Kool 98.9 (changed from BigJohn FM). With every answer you give them, you have that many ballots to go into the $500 draw.
A lady had called in this morning and considering it was National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day, that was the topic. The DJ asked the lady, to name as many sandwiches, as she possibly could, in that thirty seconds.
The DJ asked if she was ready and she replied, "Yes."
"Ok. Go," said the DJ.
1. Ham
2. Peanut Butter and Jelly
3. Chicken
4. Turkey
5. Cheese
6. Ummmmm ....
Just as the buzzer was sounding
7. Cheesecake
The DJ wasn't quite sure if he heard her right, so he asked, "Did you just say Cheesecake?"
The lady replied, "Yes."
The DJ took into laughing. I thought it was rather funny myself. She won her $98 in cash and only had seven ballots for the $500 draw. She was a little disappointed, about the low ballot count, but she was happy about getting the $98.
