As the March winds started to blow,
Pushing the snow out of the way,
Soon the April showers will flow,
As the long nights have gone astray.
No longer do we see the gloom,
From the long and cold winter night;
For the blossoms prepare to bloom,
To bring the joy in our sight.
There is a chirping in the air,
From the nests that houses the young;
A song of love for us to share,
Letting us know that spring has sprung.
The season of warmth known as spring,
Assures us from God up above;
The season has renewed to bring,
Life back to the earth with His love.
Colors have filled throughout the land,
For the sun and April Showers;
Since the ground no longer looks bland,
As light and rain bring May flowers.
Open the windows to let fresh air,
Chase away the odors that smell;
Thank the Lord, who is just and fair,
For showing He truly does care.
The farmer goes out into the field,
And has started to sow his seeds;
He prays to God for a good yield,
Come harvest time meeting his needs.
The days have now become longer,
As well as becoming hotter;
For the sun seems so much stronger,
That even warms all the water.
All good things must come to an end,
As the blossoms begin to fall;
For blistering heat starts to send,
Autumn to be making its call.
Then winter is not far behind,
And have started over again;
A blanket of snow we will find,
A year later as we had been.
