planting a garden in the spring

planting a garden in spring:
cultivating, weeding the soil, waiting for the buds to spring up, and magic of life come to bring:
 with the sun shining bright:
soon your gardens life will be in sight:
its cool how from a single little seed:
that the new life of a seven foot stalk of corn will lead:
as a kid growing up in minnesota, a remembered the saying well:
listen carefully, at night, and the corn is growing, you can here it, growing swell:
people talk at random, just how there garden is coming along:
some gardens planted, are blossoming great and strong:
then again, some gardens are not where they should be, and dont belong:
some gardens are bright and beautiful, so full of  life and song:
people would tell my grand mother, her garden was so great, and she had a green thumb:
they just didnt realize, that to grandma, her work in the garden just never was done:
some folks will plant there garden, and water it some:
then thats about it , and they are dissappointed, when there gardens progress is very little to done:
all i can tell you is that grandmas garden in durand wisconsin, folks would come from miles around:
to look at the most beautiful garden, in any town:
grandma took her time:
she sang to her garden all the time:
as she would kneel down besides each plant, and gently weeded, and cultivated , the soil:
she loved her garden so, each plant she would privately spoil:
grandma would be out in her garden, with the early morning dew:
until the sun, deeply set, she would not be done or through:
grandmas garden was reflected in her garden and in everything in her life that she would, think say and do:
i loved my grandma brantner, and she is my hero, and my inspiration, in all i think say and do:
