Poetic-Verses

'' Is It You Or Me ''

The mirror looks back,
Takes time for reflection,
I am under attack,
It needs some correction.

I move to the left,
You move right,
Though it's pretty deft,
It's a very strange sight.

What I see today,
Will differ tomorrow,
I don't have a say,
Whether it's joy or sorrow?

When it's light or dark,
There's a variation,
Where is that mark,
That caused such consternation.

In a stationary position,
All I do is observe,
Without your permission,
It is you I serve.

I've watched you changing,
Over the years,
Your face rearranging,
With laughter or tears.

I've seen you in your nappy,
Adolescence was fun,
I've observed you when happy,
To thinking life's done.

Those laughter lines,
Are all over your face,
Those marvellous designs,
Don't look out of place.

I've watched as you faltered,
When you felt shame,
Though you have altered,
I've remained the same,

Soon you'll be gone,
But I'll still exist,
I refuse to be drawn,
About will you be missed?

This is such a big deal,
What is it you see?
Which of us is real?
