As high as the Heavens above,
Is how vast His mercy and grace;
Towards those who fear and show love,
Desires to feel His embrace.
As far as east is from the west,
Is how far that He is removed;
The rebellious acts we invest,
Until we show that we improved.
As a father has compassion,
For his children so does the Lord;
Of those that revere in fashion,
Their requests are never ignored.
He certainly knows what we are,
Everything we are made of;
He knows every flaw and scar,
And if we show a sincere love.
He bears in mind that we are dust,
And life is as short-lived as grass;
While we are filled up with lust,
The body is like tarnished brass.
We can blossom like a flower,
Out in the middle of a field;
But with the wind and a shower,
It disappears losing its shield.
Everlasting to ever last,
His mercy is on those who fear;
Neither will it be slow or fast,
All of those who truly revere.
The faithful ones to His promise,
Remember His precepts to guide;
Will never have life go amiss,
If they continue to abide.
The Lord sets His throne in Heaven,
His Kingdom rules everything;
Well treated what He has given,
Personal creations to bring.
