The road to nowhere

How many times to be asked,
where are you off to,
to which I simply say,
nowhere in particular,
and go about my day.

Now to some that answer is a bit too vague,
or incomplete at best,
but to me it's not at all,
just the best that I can give.
I simply do enjoy the journey,
to travel by any means.

It's not that I don't know where I'm going,
I prefer to wait and see,
and then when I get home,
I know where I have been.
Nowhere is where I've been.
