I am making it known to you,
The Good News I already told;
On which your faith is based as true,
That God has caused it to unfold.
For you are saved by this Good News,
If you hold on to what was taught;
Unless you think not without views,
Since you never gave it a thought.
I passed on the important part,
That you find within the Scripture;
And trust that you take it to heart,
While your mind paints a picture.
Christ was born from the virgin womb,
And died to take away the sin;
He was then placed within a tomb,
Resurgence in three days again.
He came to the twelve apostles,
Then to five hundred believers;
As a symbol for rebuttals,
And all of those who were grievers.
It is a strange thing here on earth,
The last thing for one to expect;
Like having a surprising birth,
That some others just might reject.
His kindness made me what I am,
For it must been within His plan;
Once a lion but now a lamb,
I have been made a humbled man.
His kindness had not been wasted,
I worked harder than the others;
Since I spiritually tasted,
Divine treatment of my brothers.
So whether someone else or I,
Bringing this message unto you;
That we would preach is not a lie,
But what you believed to be true.
