Shima Nesari Haghighi Fard

I am no one just a little girl

I am no one just a Nigerian girl

Who planned to study and love

For a single smile on her parents face

And to share her bread, when they starve

I am no one just a happy girl

Who holds a pencil in her hand

And ties ribbon in her hair

I believe in the future of my land

I am no one just a little girl

Who was studying with her little friends

Behind a desk in a room

Hoping that one day suffer ends

I am no one just a hopeful girl

With a little heart which beats for joy

And two black eyes which wish for tomorrow

And a belief that I am not less than a boy

I am no one just a helpless girl

Who got kidnapped with a lot of harm

Without saying goodbye to her mother

And without knowing Boko Haram

I am no one just a lonely girl

Who has lost her way back home

I wish I had my father near

My curly hair has missed my comb

I am no one just a peaceful girl

Who trusts every caring hand

And believes love breathes in every heart

But now I am a prisoner and in band

I am no one just a needy girl

Who has lost her parents in her land

I do not know where I am now

Can you release me from this band?
