The passing of a life

We call this life a journey,
the time spent here on earth,
to walk among our fellow man,
and cherish all the simple things,
we see along the way.

So many thoughts, that comes to mind,
memories of all we are,
and wish that could be still.

There is no easy way to deal with death,
to comfort those who grieve,
their loss it seems unbearable,
to painful to believe.

And yet we try to find the words,
to console and sway the anguish,
and bring them some relief.

The life well lived, cannot be,
counted in mere coins,
but in the love of the life,
a life of love and joy.
