This metropolitan coffee house
is like a cattle shed
where humans eat and drink
like there's no tomorrow...
They devour their hot chocolate
like Montezuma drowning in it
along with other delicacies they fancy
stuffing faces, filling obscene bellies
These people have snacks and treats
without speaking to each other -
they just sit playing on their mobiles
fingers twitching from number to number...
This is how they live life
in the so-called fast lane?
Eating like there's no tomorrows -
but what will tomorrows bring?
They don't know, neither do most of us!
