HAVEN

I ask the world to treat you kindly

As time flows into the sea of dreams,

I ask that all words you hear be tender

And everwhere you go someone holds you

When you need a haven from the storm.

I ask the sun to bathe you in its light

And never to be too strong or too weak

But just to chase the clouds away from you.

I ask your tears to water the garden of your heart

So that flowers may grow amidst your wanderings

And that all love you meet with be understanding

And not tinged with hypocrisy or deceit

I ask that you be protected from all harmful things

On whatever level of your being they may be

And that you may always shine with a beauty

Reflected in your body, mind and Soul forever

And in moonlight may you take on a loveliness

That shames even the angels in heaven.
