Poetic-Verses

'' Life's A Marathon It's Not A Race ''

It's wisdom you must seek,
Before you speak,
Knowledge can be a dangerous thing,
Prevention ensures you are strong not weak,
It also takes care of that sting.

You must open your eyes,
To see through a disguise,
For what you perceive may well be untrue,
Failure can and will lead to demise,
Always ensure you have a good view.

Even those you trust,
Can turn out unjust,
For that you cannot accept blame,
Though they'll leave you feeling disgust,
It's they who'll be left feeling shame.

True friends you'll know,
Their kinship will show,
Believe me you'll know your real mates,
In times of need you will feel their glow,
Deserting you is not one of their traits.

When times are hard,
They'll mark your card,
They'll be there for as long as you live,
When in need they'll be your guard
Your mistakes they'll be prepared to forgive.

By being aware,
You can show you care,
There'll be nothing that you cannot face,
Whatever is broken you can always repair,
