Poetic Verses
Empty Stage
I set these words upon a page,
To give these words center stage;
And give to you my point of view,
Of things I know, and things I do
Thoughts thus given, I'm setting free
Release expression bottled up in me,
To tell to you, of what I'm sure;
Echoing thoughts so raw and pure
Inner sanctum voiced out loud,
Bellowing out into the crowd,
The intricate way my mind to weave
Few will know; yet fewer perceive
That there beyond my elder brain,
Forgetting numbers and rote refrain,
There lies true calling, unsecured;
The calling of unbridled word
And in this age whose pace is fast,
Where grappling up, to not be last,
Techno savvy desperadoes stand
The line is long for dollars grand
And as they vie to deserve,
They have failed to truly observe
Expression of the tender kind,
Felt and nurtured, heart and mind
As there my path begin and end;
For eloquence can never bend,
And bleeding words can stain a page
My soliloquy on empty stage
