 once upon a time

Wistful
Each and every day I see you walking
down the street, only problem I have is
how do I stop and get to know you. People,
Some anyway would just say hello, hello,

but I'm not that brash, unfairly so. I cannot
reach out without an invite from you, a nod even
a simple smile would do. But here I'm walking
past you wondering how to say hello to you.

Life's unfair towards the shy introvert. I believe
just for me I will change my route, wander
through the park, a place you never seem to go.
In the park I wander along the path beside a pond

Head down I did not see you. bumped against you did
not say hello too confused all I muttered was sorry, but you
with your lovely smile asked why I was in the park, we sat
and talked agreed to meet. Before you left you said I look
forward to seeing you, I keep  waiting for you to say hello.
