Where is a person that is wise?
I want to see him with my eyes;
Where is the one who's a scholar?
The writer who is a scrawler.
Where is the persuasive speaker?
Who in time has been a seeker;
Searching for wisdom of this world,
How evolution has unfurled.
God has turned wisdom of this place,
Into nonsense of a disgrace;
For the world cannot recognize,
The terms of God being so wise.
So then God decided to use,
The nonsense of our Good News;
And speak to save those who believe,
Of the salvation they receive.
Because the Jews have asked for signs,
Seeing the glory as it shines;
While Greeks look for the wisdom,
That comes from a higher kingdom.
But our message is bona-fide,
That Jesus Christ was crucified;
Even though it offends the Jews,
And makes no sense how they abuse.
But to those who are Jew and Greek,
Are called to Jesus Christ to seek;
The power and wisdom of God,
To worship with honor and laud.
Foolishness of God is wiser,
Than a rich man as a miser;
For His weakness is stronger than,
The forcefulness of any man.
So consider of what you were,
When God did the spiritual stir;
As He called upon you to be,
Christians with the insight to see.
