'' From Temptation Make Sure You Desist ''

The cheat will bleat,
All those I meet,
They are to blame not me,
To the wife I mistreat I am very discreet,
The truth I don't want her to see.

It's a game of blame,
Leave out the shame,
My love for her will never die,
Loyalty I proclaim but it's her I defame,
My proclamations I know are a lie.

Vows cause rows,
Suspicions they arouse,
I can justify my indiscretions,
Through excuses I browse the flames they douse,
They cover up my transgressions.

When they're gone we move on,
To our brand new dawn,
I promise you I will ditch the wife,
Feeling put upon I then use some brawn,
It helps to alleviate the strife.

I profess it's a mess,
It's causing me stress,
But for me they no longer care,
If the truth you repress they will dispossess,
Sometimes life just isn't fair.

Crying and sighing,
None of them are buying,
That's the consequence of being caught,
Though I'm lying there's no denying,
I'm the one left feeling distraught.

My fun is now done,
The divorce has begun,
Everything I held dear I have lost,
It's me they shun so I'm now on the run,
My infidelity has come at a cost.

What I had wasn't bad,
My affair was just mad,
Greener grass disappeared through the mist,
For all that I had I'm the one feeling sad,
