 Pony Tail Purses

If you are anything like me,
Your purse is  always filled with junk!
Paint and powder and perfume...
I could almost use a trunk!
 A mirror, tissues,  chocolates,
 CDs, some change, a book.
Old bills and old receipts I've kept...
 Some pictures that I took.
A hairbrush, comb, some rubber bands...
I always tuck in without fail...
Just in case my hair needs put
Into a pony tail.
Sometimes I feel my back will break
With it slung across my shoulder...
Feels like I am burdened with

An immensely heavy boulder.
But wearily I trudge along
While I am reminded of
A reading from the Word of God..
A verse voiced with His love.
Jesus calls to all the weary...
The heavy burdened ones like me.
He offers rest and restoration...
 Offers peace, tranquility.
He explains His yoke is easy
And His burden very light...
That if we follow after Him
He'll turn all our wrongs to right.
 Like cleaning out our purses...
He cleanses us from every sin...
Fills us with His Holy Spirit
And wraps us in His love within.

Like a purse, we can be useful
To carry Jesus in our hearts...
To store His promises and pledges...
To present the  peace His Word imparts.

~~Dedicated to Peggyand Gary~~

This is a bit different..I hope you
can appreciate the analogy.

Matthew 11:28-30
Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened,
and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon
and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart
and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke
is easy and my burden is light

2 Corinthians 1:20-23
For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes;
therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God
through us. He who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed

us is God, who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our
 hearts as a pledge.…
