Murray The Shepherd
crossed my path 1 day,
and before I got the benefit of what occured
he quickly ran away!
But then I stopped to ponder
this was for a cause,
it was a weary traveler afraid like me up yonder
just in fear to stop and pause!
Because he had been taken
so many times before,
he saw me and was shaken
at what might be in store!
I hope he comes back again
cause in these parts it sure gets lonely,
it would indeed be a sin
if our meeting never comes to be!
He's a shepherd but a bit husky too
and being so also made him afraid,
but among us who
let that keep us from a friend to be made?
If I had hesitated way back then
cause Faron was so different than the rest I met,
I wouldn't have had the pleasure of the Best Of Men

And When We Met Just Blended Into The Sunset....

that would have given away too much
