'' You Can Do It Too ''

Telling tales,
Never fails,
The guilty close friends believe,
That's when I went off the rails,
My pain I tried to relieve.

Being me,
I failed to see,
That before the truth had dawned,
Her mannerisms were the key,
To the fact I was being conned.

For her sins,
It's the cheat that wins,
The courts rarely favour men,
While I cry the sinner grins,
To my children I said Amen.

I felt a fool,
Let chaos rule,
I questioned my very being,
The mind can be a destructive tool,
The truth you're just not seeing.

Open your eyes,
If yourself you despise,
When your behaviour becomes uncouth,
It is the facts that you disguise,
Never hide from the truth.

It's hard to tell,
I've been through Hell,
It's what is called a faηade,
To the past I bid farewell,
My future I've now surveyed.

What's done is done,
I'll now have fun,
This time I'll make it last,
It's from myself I was on the run,
That's now in the past.

Conscience can destroy,
If you let it annoy,
If you're innocent shout it out loud,
Then when your brain you redeploy,
It's time for you to be proud.

I took the blame,
Yes I felt shame,
For something I didn't do,
But my false guilt I've overcame,
