  October's Child

PENSACOLA, FLORIDA

PENSACOLA, FLORIDA

 Jackson's Restaurant

I stand on the street corner in verses of wonder
Reading pages of people from their own reflection
They whisper in syllables amid claps of thunder,
Under blinking traffic lights lending no direction

 Pensacola Pier

Humidity wraps this city inside beaded shimmers,
As parables of flesh wander aimlessly by…
There's a backdrop of sea waves in an apron of glimmers,
Where the city pens its resume' with a deep blue sky

 Seville Square

Where the décor of olden oaks speak with novels of time
Where Seville Square opens like a waiting window
Our history stands inside itself while church bells chime
Where sediments of morning, stream in colors of limbo

 Pensacola Beach

If you find yourself walking inside our quaint little town
And you feel the cool sand tickling your toes
Wrap a splash of waves, with their soothing sound
Around the windows of your soul, to dress your own town
