The Walk Of Life

I rose from my struggles
when I chose to forget,
A past not worth knowing
has no need for regret.

The road I once crossed
was covered with hurt,
The mud on the pavement,
rain tears fell in dirt.

A storm could not stop
the warmth of my heart,
The light deep inside me
protects from the start.

I step over every trap
of which hate tries to set,
The fun turns to leaps
over puddles once wet.

You can let go the worry
that once brought you low,
If you can forget the bad
and go with the flow.

For if you are to stumble
on the gravel ahead,
You allow the trouble
of "He said, She said."

The tongue speaks words
against your free will,
But you are walking
the freedom path still.

It may not be noticed
when you feel the best,
Keep up the pace
on your happiness quest.

Outside where you wander
in search of a guide,
You may not be perfect
but you are glowing inside.

If the earth should crumble
beneath your feet,
Don't give up the walk
because your life is sweet.
