 Elsie`s Poetry

If you should ever have to go
There are some things I`d like you to know,
Like just how good we were together
And that I will love you forever.

I`d like you to remember it was me
That loved you enough to set you free,
Our paths will cross of this there`s no doubt
So we should stay friends and not fall out.

We have to move on of this I`m sure
So in your arms I`ll be no more,
Think of me as a day in Spring
Remember me as a good thing.

I`ll remember you as my own clown
Who made me laugh when I was down,
Think of me as the sound of laughter
To carry in your heart thereafter.

We had so much fun along the way
The type you have on a sunny day,
Remember me in every word you write
Think of me on a moonlit night.

I`ll think of you so tenderly
Remembering how things used to be,
Think of how much joy I could bring
So remember me as a good thing.

Think of all the happy times we shared
I`ll remember how you showed you cared,
We had lots of good times along the way
Please remember me `til your dying day.

Everything good must come to an end
But meeting you was a godsend,
I have no regrets of any kind
And if I could I`d press rewind.
