When I See Old Glory

American Clipart

~(*)~(*)~(*)~
When I see O Glory
My heart swells with pride.
My eyes fills with tears
I love that Old Flag because
I know her story
~*~ ~*~ ~*~
When I see Old Glory
I see the names of those who died
And those who came home
Wounded in soul and body
 written all over the strips
Put there with unseen hands
Even though invisible
It's still there just the same
~*~ ~*~ ~*~
When I see Old Glory
I see the blood of those who died
Even though invisible
It's still there
Beside each name
~*~ ~*~ ~*~
When you touch our Flag
Be proud handle with pride
You touch someones blood
You touch someones name
And the spirit of those who died
And those who still live with
The terrible scars of war

Flags
This poem is in memory of all the
brave soldiers who fought and died.
For America to live in freedom
and those that came home wounded.
In soul and body with scars
and terrible memories that
will never go away
MAY GOD BE WITH THEM ALL
