In view of all that we have shared,
About God and His compassion;
There is nothing to be compared,
In a sacrificial fashion.
I encourage you to offer,
Your body to be sacrificed;
No longer to be a scoffer,
And never again be enticed.
Dedicate yourself pleasing God,
Worshipping is proper for you;
Praising as you honor and laud,
Is the appropriate thing to do.
Don't become like those of this place,
Instead, change the way that you think;
God is quite willing to embrace,
If you stay away from strong drink.
Then you will know God's desires,
What is good, pleasing, and perfect;
All of that which He requires,
The things that you should not neglect.
For the kindness that God has shown,
Think not of yourself as higher;
But humble yourself at His throne,
Find out what He does desire.
Your thoughts will lead to good judgment,
Based on what God has given you;
Rather than through gripes and lament,
That many others might construe.
For the body has many parts,
And each one has a job to do;
As the work that each one imparts,
Must be able to remain true.
So each of us are within Christ,
That we have been given a task;
Our own things are sacrificed,
For the demands that God does ask.
