Two of my favorite Charities
The Wounded Warriers making three
As any one who has read me knows
I am extremely proud of my Grandkids
But is not all about sports accomplishments
Brent's baseball team shaved their heads for Cancer
Raised $8500 for Children Hospital
The players visited kids who needed support
Kelsey's first job is unpaid
She works for free for Make a Wish Foundation
She is the girl who finds needy kids
The kids Brent shaved his head and visited
Every kid has a wish make a Wish makes them happen
Be it to meet their athletic hero
She contacts the athletes and makes arrangement
Recruited some of the richest men in the world
I don't have to mentions names recognized in press
My wish: To visit Disneyland one time
Kelsey finds donors to make the wishes come true
Her second summer job is driving a food truck
At golf courses that support charities
You have seen the ads this professional athlete
Playing golf to support local charities
Someone is there shamelessly recruiting donors
Hockey is a very expensive sport to play
Ryan, Mom and Dad have taken a kid to a far off tournaments
One who would have had to quit if not for help
Not a rich man I cannot turn down wounded warriors
I sit and talk with them at the VA clinic
I feel blessed those heroes serve for me
I hear the words, "Thank you for your service!"
Those Wounded Warrors are the ones we need to thank
I thank them not the Politicans sending them in harms way
