Welcome to My Poetry Site

From the time I was small,
I learned to say my prayers.

In youth, for fame and fortune,
I wanted everything,
the truth I sometimes still.

When someone dear,
became real ill,
I prayed that they'd get well.

The latter years,
not so much. ....
just happiness for all.

It took some time,
but I realized,
that all my prayers were answered,
to my own shagrin,
sometimes. ....
the answers no.
