Do not forget what I have taught,
Rather keep my commands in mind;
Think righteously what you have sought,
With all of the blessings you find.
For they will bring you a long life,
Some of the best and peaceful years;
For helping you cope with the strife,
So you do not develop tears.
Let not mercy and truth leave you,
So fasten them around your neck;
You are one of the chosen few,
Sound enough to remain in check.
Go and write them within your heart,
Then you are to find much success;
When you are able to impart,
That will be when the Lord will bless.
Trust the Lord with all of your heart,
Rely not on your understanding;
You will be off on a new start,
To do what He is commanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make you paths so smooth;
You will feel the vigor and vim,
When sin His Spirit does remove.
And then your body will be healed,
While your bones will be nourished;
Come harvest time out in the field,
Abundant crops will have flourished.
Then all your silos shall be filled,
You honor the Lord with your wealth;
Wine vats full and being distilled,
Increasing your spiritual health.
Consider yourself not as wise,
Fear the Lord and avoid evil;
Remember the chief of disguise,
That will deceive is the devil.
