You are a temple for God,
And His Spirit lives in you;
But if you by chance are flawed,
Then your heart cannot be true.
If anyone destroys His place,
God will also destroy them;
For His wrath will have no grace,
To those that He will condemn.
You are that holy temple,
When you do truly believe;
In your heart is the Gospel,
Through salvation you receive.
Pull no wool over your eyes,
That could cause you to deceive;
You may think that you are wise,
To others that act naïve.
If you think you are wise here,
You should give up that wisdom;
For the knowledge to hold dear,
Comes from His wondrous kingdom.
Wisdom from here is nonsense,
And is foolish in His sight;
God takes a severe offense,
For it is far from the light.
God catches the cleverness,
That many of them might try;
And throws them in the furnace,
For suffering as they fry.
The Lord knows every thought,
Of the wise are just pointless;
For the things that they have taught,
Are not true and are faithless.
Brag not about these people,
For you belong to the Lord;
And they know not the Gospel,
But just look for a reward.
