 once upon a time

Acceptance
Watching another sunset dipping below the
horizon brings to mind all my yesterday's.
One question springs to mind, would I have
had it any other way. Answer is no-never.

life's experiences explored cannot be denied.
To do so would nullify a life lived to the best of my ability.
Let others judge me harshly or cruelly, that is not for
me to wonder on. All I have is today and my yesterday's.

Each moment lived is a time of my life lost to history,
I carry my history in my minds eye and through the fact
of family created during all my fabulous yesterday's.
How could I stand here and regret those moments in time.

Regrets are nonsense thoughts, although often courted.
Where I am today is the place one should be, easily accepted
if only I can remember, that the only understanding in my
life is, that there is no understanding simply-acceptance of living
