LIGHTING A TEMPEST By Kathryn Tate Jacoby, www.PoetryPoem.com/poetessktj Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
Energy,
raw and unbridled
charging every atom
pulsating through every cell,
the tension now
needing
release
Flashes
of fire and inspiration
light up synapses
thoughts spinning wild
in the rush of night
wind and
black
fury
Rumbles
so deep and baritone,
roiling inside the belly,
reaching down into those
hidden places, building
a fertile bed of
welcoming
warmth
Release
tingling, much too alive
to comprehend, creation sighs
satiated and cleansed
by a tempest too
quickly
over
