The big Man up in heaven asked Peter did you hear the news today?
St. Peter said Jinky's missing from the Celtic way
Big Jock is right beside him, he guards him everyday
The last time big Jock seen Jinky smiled and slipped away
Brother Walfrid told big Jock, go down the Gallowgate
Jinky has lots of friends there, everyone's his mate
He likes to meet his buddies and sing the Celtic song
Check Bar 67 you'll probably find him there
Singing Celtic songs, Celtic banners everywhere
He with a couple of angels, he doesn't go for long
He's playing for God's eleven on Saturday, he better not be long
Big Jock grins, he knows Jinky very well
He's probably singing Celtic songs in “The Town He Loved So well”
