The Languid Eyes of Jesus Permeate My Soul

From the cross He hung there without a robe.
Bearing the weight of the  present world and the future was His to feel.
Languid eyes were His from the cross and a heart that was breaking.
The awfulness cannot be measured or adequately spoken for it was greater than anything.
Jesus lovingly looked at His mother and of Paul I believe.
With testimony from the cross He told them something they'd always hear.
His eyes showed the pain and agony that was felt by His body.
No other eyes could ever duplicate His eyes on that day.
Love the Lord for all He is and never forget His languid eyes for they were this way for you and me.
Languid eyes means to be heavy as a burden that only God could ever bear.
Lose yourself to sometime go back to the cross and look into His languid eyes.
