Such a beautiful, beautiful baby you were
Soft creamy skin and shiny dark hair
Eyes of a deep gleaming lovely dark brown
Rarely my darling did I see you frown
I watched as time worked and shaped all you are
Toddler then teen, a Mum and a star
Sent to us all from way up in heaven
Cannot believe that you`re now twenty-seven
About to become a mother again
When yesterday darling you were just ten
You studied and passed as a nurse for young babes
Followed the plans that you carefully laid
Had some pain while you did it as all of us do
But my sweet lassie I am proud of you
Hoping that all of your best dreams come true

Happy birthday my lovely, remember you`re dear
Hope that you have such a wonderful year
I loved you then and I love you still
And Maddie my darling, I always will.
