She sang a song to me, in the stillness of the night. She cradled and rocked me until I fell asleep she put me on a pedestal then sat me on her knee, as we rocked to the sound of a funky melody; when I turned on my Technics stereo, I tuned into a top class tempo we danced to the rhythm and clapped our hands, as the atmosphere filled with musical strands.
Way back in the summer of 93 me and candy cotton Katie as happy as can be, sitting on a sofa, relaxing to the vibes of a rhythmic harmony. She cast a spell upon me, of joyful ecstasy as we skipped the light fantastic to a mantic remedy. It was a simple twist of fate she left me in a state, and in a moment of madness my heart was full of sadness. She kissed me on the cheek, I didn't hesitate; I sat in the corner of the room and began to meditate.
She sang a melody, a sweet, sweet song. Every time I looked at her, I felt a deep sense of yarning. We sat and reminisced as the incense was burning. Candy and me cotton Katie, as happy as can be. I kissed her on the neck, but she kept me in check, as we sat in the sun light and waited until it felt right; then she sang a song to me in the stillness of the night.
I heard the music in the background, it fades away with out a sound, I thought about the melody and what I felt deep inside of me. On the day our senses touched I knew the friendship would last. We agreed to look to the future, and forget about the past.
