My dearest India,
land of our countrymen,
Once proud under Empire,
Now insignifcant alone.
Our light is now lost,
We are not like China,
Economic power atcost
Of heritage and nature.
Economically a broken tool,
Militarially our luck is down,
We used to be the glistening Jewel,
Now we are a shanty town.
Gandhi, to shine alone is harder,
When your peaceful protest won,
But stranded without our Father,
There is no shining to be done.
