poppy souls By aldo kraas, www.PoetryPoem.com/poet11586 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
In some cherished secret space we ran displaced and free
Laughing like the multiplied years were stripped right back to steel
And the wild flower poppy souls swayed in perfect mural infancy
As We dangled our daydream feet over the slender mile of river
And leaned to each other gently reminiscing of the symmetry of future
we shared all those acedia divested months
Propping up each others worn wood romance
both holding on as long as fate will let us pass
With even the golden hour sun bathing in our wrapped up warmth
And the smitten sky holding its gaze upon our tryst
I asked you if you were that little girl once and maybe if you still could be
And you closed your seraph eyes and memorised my perfect day voice
We knew that every sad bad bye was just a prelude
To the next great love song that we always seem to make together
