Give

It comes for a purpose it comes for good reason
It comes right on time, prime in its season
Fresh every morning as faithful as the dew
Fallen from havens storehouse to feed me and you
I was young, now I am old, a king once said
Never have I seen the righteous beg for bread
By grace he shall have his every need
If by faith he will go and sow his seed
Give and it shall be given back to you
And that with the measure that you do
The Giver of life set an economical plan
A chain to supply the needs of man
As an example of how we should live
His only begotten Son He did give
The Father Himself sowed a seed in the ground
But like most seeds it didn’t stay down
It arose with all power to supply
Through the generous hearts of you and I
But none should store up, none should stack
So none should go hungry and none should lack
Be it forgiveness, substance or love
Give as is given from God above
Nothing is yours it’s all on loan
Even the earth is not our home
The life more abundant we desire to live
Avails it’s self in our willingness to give
Not in regret or givers remorse
Not of obligation or force
But from gratefulness and sincerity of heart
Saved, sanctified, and set apart
Pressed down shaken together overflowing
So shall your blessing keep growing and growing
Simply give as God has given to you
And see for yourself how His word is true
