Evening hit the cold skies
And stars melted a sliver of light
Down, dying over arms of your hurt
Folding out a ladder to escape
From your bruised heart
Always leaking its clotted blood
Into a plastic bag
An unforgivable memory
You pleaded, trying to ease away
From the elastic bands latching
Onto your bloodshot eyes
As they stretched into a blind girls
Body and ripped off a comforting lie
You cannot hide when you're still wide awake
Even as you try to erase
What disaster has diluted
Your strength, everything
It still tugs at threads
Hanging loosely from pale emotions
Dropping fast
But it isn't so easy
That it'll disintegrate into a million
Dreams come true
Simply leaving you and your over matured smile
To sit upon a once sad throne
And forget
It's not always going to be a happy place…
