I went to my Grandson`s Graduation today
This step has now opened a new gateway,
Charlie`s nursery days have come to an end
In September reception class is what he`ll attend.
My four year old Charlie in his cap and gown
He looked so gorgeous that a tear fell down,
Looking all grown up but still a baby to me
An important part of my life is what he`ll always be.
There was a video of all they had achieved
Derived from the care they had received,
They didn`t just play they learnt many things
This is what good care and attention brings.
The video had a caption over each child`s head
Of what the teacher would miss most that they said,
`I Love My Mummy` is what Charlie`s said
I read the words and tears I did shed.
There is no one like his Mummy on this earth
He has been like that from the time of his birth,
He spots her in the crowd and his face shines bright
The world is his oyster with her in his sight.
Miss Hudson
Thank you to the teachers for all the work they`ve done
And the hearts of the children they certainly won,
Dedication and patience are a true virtue
And from me I would like to say a big thank you.
Mrs Brady
Although this is indeed a sad time of year
And I admit I shed more than one tear,
We have to think of Charlie and his life instead
And wish him well in his school years ahead.
