IN HIS MOTHER'S EYES

One memory can never die
Tears dropping from a Mom's eye
For the son who well never return
For in the wars of time we never learn
Other's cowards they run and hide
Make excuses--sure our leaders lied
Mom my heart is pained for you and your son
For those brave the flags colors never run
Three thousand or more died on our own soil
The innocent taken in the horror of the twin towers
Does it matter who is right or wrong in those hours
Mom your son's life is not gone in vain
As his body is amongst the bravest now lain
Those who hide behind excuses it is their shame
For on the wall of heroes you well not find their name
