Since we are surrounded,
By many examples;
Of faith so abounded,
We can see some samples.
So we must get rid of,
All things that slow us down;
Distracting from His love;
And makes us wear a frown.
So we must run the race,
That is lying ahead;
Never giving up grace,
That our Lord has fed.
We must focus on Christ,
The source and our goal;
And as faith is enticed,
To seal the living soul.
He saw the joy ahead,
So He endured the cross;
And did ignore instead,
The disgrace from His loss.
Then He received the place,
Of highest position;
In Heaven to embrace,
A new recognition.
Think about Jesus Christ,
Who endured resistance;
Finally sacrificed,
Persevered the distance.
So do not be tired,
And never to give up;
Get what is desired,
Not drinking from the cup.
You struggle against sin,
But they have not killed you;
So you can now begin,
A new life to construe.
