My first attempt at kids poems
I suppose that is quite obvious
Not a happy story I am told
The Princess kissed a frog
She awoke now a toad
It was a real insult to the Princess mode
Worse yet the frog said,
"You're a toad--hit the road!
Ugly she was and the frog quite cute
OK, it was the thing a Princess might refute
Off she went kissed a duck for luck
From a passing train she had to duck
It was a love affair until they crossed the street
Here come a truck and there was no retreat
It was common sense the Princess did lack
And learning a new language she misunderstood the warning quack
Beneath a big semi was to be the Princess glory
The duck then turned into a Prince does that make sense
He searched and searched the country for his Princess
and drowned under a lilly pad end of story
Wife said write childrens stories but don't
think I am good at it, But next well be Foggy Valley
In the mist of Mt Rainier right up my alley
