Listen to my discipline,
And do not ignore your mother;
Disrespect can be a sin,
If you reject another.
For discipline as I taught,
Are graceful upon your head;
For the truth that you have sought,
Relieving things you have dread.
If sinners are luring you,
Never try to go along;
Evil then you will construe,
Since you are committing wrong.
They might think that it is fun,
Performing immoral acts;
But will rue what you have done,
After knowing all the facts.
The will swallow like the grave,
That leads to the burning pit;
For sin will make you a slave,
No longer will you have wit.
So you will find all kinds of,
Valuable possessions;
Of many things that you love,
But filled with many deceptions.
Do not follow them their way,
Or set foot upon their path;
For their darkness makes them stray,
And God will judge with His wrath.
They rush in doing evil,
And hurry for shedding blood;
The deluge of the devil,
Causing an immoral flood,
No good in spreading a net,
Within the sight of a bird;
For cancelling of a debt,
You must abide by His Word.
It happens to all of us,
Who are greedy just for gain,
Causing you to raise a fuss,
For the sin causing the pain.
